Dr. (Mrs.) Vidya Nitin Patil is the Dean – Innovation, Incubation & Entrepreneurship at AISSMS College of Engineering, Pune leads the institution’s efforts to foster a dynamic culture of innovation, startup development, and entrepreneurial mindset. Through the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), we conduct year-round activities aligned with the IIC calendar to nurture creativity and problem-solving. Our students actively participate in prestigious competitions such as Aavishkar, Anveshan, Smart India Hackathon (SIH), and the National Startup Olympiad, achieving recognition at various levels. We provide mentoring, prototype development support, and incubation facilities to help transform innovative ideas into successful ventures. Collaboration with national bodies like AICTE, MSME, and Startup India ensures access to funding, training, and growth opportunities. The IIE Cell also conducts entrepreneurship bootcamps, design thinking workshops, and expert talks to enhance innovation readiness. We encourage interdisciplinary projects and support both faculty and students in their entrepreneurial journeys. Our cell has upheld the legacy of AISSMSCOE by consistently achieving excellence at prestigious platforms like Anveshan and Aavishkar, SIH. Our cell proudly celebrates its achievement of securing the Avishkar Best Innovation Award and Overall Gold Medal in Anvshan representing not only SPPU but also Maharashtra State, showcasing outstanding innovation and research excellence at the university level. Over the years, more than 10 teams have been SIH finalists, with 2 teams winning prizes worth ₹1 lakh, reflecting our strong culture of innovation and impact at national level.. At AISSMS COE, we believe that innovation is not just a skill—it is a mindset we cultivate every day.
