Academic and Technical Achievements
- Prajakta Virkar secured First Position in a Paper Presentation Competition, showcasing exceptional research and presentation skills.
- Parth Suryawanshi was selected to participate in the prestigious Google Developers Hackathon, demonstrating excellence in software development and problem-solving.
- Parth Suryawanshi and Mr. Om Mate were recognized as Finalists in IDEATHON 2026, presenting innovative solutions to real-world challenges.
Sports Achievements
- Agyay Bhawsar secured the Runner-up Position in Table Tennis at the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) level.
- Grace George emerged as the Winner of a Chess Competition, displaying exceptional strategic thinking and sportsmanship.
- Pratosh Jadhar secured the Third Position in Powerlifting at the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) level.
- The AIML Girls’ Basketball Team won the Inter-Department Basketball Championship, demonstrating excellent teamwork and athletic excellence.
- The AIML Boys’ Kabaddi Team reached the Semi-Finals in the Inter-Department Kabaddi Tournament.
- The AIML Boys’ Badminton Team emerged as Champions in the Inter-Department Badminton Tournament.

Establishment of AI & High-Performance Computing (HPC) Centre of Excellence
The Department of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning has established a state-of-the-art AI & High-Performance Computing (HPC) Centre of Excellence in collaboration with SimuSoft Technologies. The Centre provides advanced computational infrastructure to support AI research, industry-oriented projects, faculty development, and hands-on student learning in emerging technologies such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Generative AI, and High-Performance Computing.
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DesiCoLab
The department has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DesiCoLab to strengthen industry-academia collaboration. The partnership aims to facilitate internships, technical workshops, collaborative research, expert sessions, and skill development programs for students and faculty.
MoU with Chandrashekhar Agashe College of Physical Education
The department has entered into an MoU with Chandrashekhar Agashe College of Physical Education to promote interdisciplinary collaboration. The partnership focuses on integrating Artificial Intelligence with sports analytics, health technologies, research activities, faculty interaction, and student innovation.
One-Week ISTE Faculty Development Programme
The department successfully organized a One-Week ISTE Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Techno-Socio Impact of Artificial Intelligence” from 9th February-14th February 2026. The FDP brought together academicians, researchers, and industry experts to discuss recent advancements in AI, ethical considerations, societal impact, and emerging applications across various domains.
Industrial Training on AI & HPC Server Technologies
In collaboration with SimuSoft Technologies, the department conducted an Industrial Training Programme on Artificial Intelligence and High-Performance Computing (HPC) Server Technologies. The programme provided participants with practical exposure to AI computing infrastructure, GPU-based computing, server management, AI model deployment, and real-world industrial applications.
