  1. Classification of Companies:

The Centre for Information Training and Placement (CITP) engages with a wide spectrum of recruiters, categorized based on the nature of technical expertise required:

  • Technical Companies
These include organizations primarily seeking candidates with strong technical skills in engineering, IT, and related domains. Examples include:

    • IT / Software Companies: Product-based and service-based firms specializing in software development, IT infrastructure, cloud computing, cybersecurity, data analytics, and other cutting-edge technologies.
    • Core Engineering Companies: Non-IT firms in manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, civil engineering, electronics, and heavy industries requiring domain-specific engineering expertise.
  • Non-Technical Companies
These organizations recruit candidates for roles that emphasize management, business operations, marketing, finance, human resources, and communication skills rather than purely technical skills. Examples include consultancy firms, financial institutions, supply chain companies, and other service-oriented businesses.
  1. Invitation and Scheduling of Companies:

Companies are invited and scheduled based on the following parameters:

  • Eligibility criteria and opportunities for all students.
  • Job profile and growth prospects.
  • Compensation package offered by the company.
  • Past recruitment record at AISSMS COE.
  • Feedback from students regarding the company.
  1. Collaborative Selection Process:

If a company prefers a common selection process for our students and those from nearby engineering institutes, the selection drive is organized either by our institute or the other institute, following discussions with the Training and Placement Officers (TPO) of the participating institutes. Eligible students are notified about their participation in such placement drives through the TP office.

  1. Policy Revisions:

If market conditions and job scenarios necessitate a revision in the placement policy, changes will be made to maximize benefits for the student community as a whole.

The CITP is committed to providing comprehensive support and resources to help students achieve their career goals.
