The Centre for Information Training and Placement (CITP) has been established to provide training, placement, and career guidance to students, leveraging the strength of our alumni network and industry interactions. The CITP boasts a well-established infrastructure to deliver these services effectively.

Career guidance is provided through structured one-on-one mentoring and professional counselling. Training for placements and industry-specific skills is integrated throughout the undergraduate program:

  1. First Year: Identification of students’ career inclinations.
  2. Second Year: Enhancement of communication and soft skills.
  3. Third Year: Development of general employment aptitude.
  4. Final Year: Company-specific training and contemporary knowledge enhancement.

The CITP adheres to a “One student, one job” policy, which is detailed as follows:

  1. Classification of Companies:
    • IT/Software companies (product and service-based)
    • Core Companies (non-IT/Software, including manufacturing)
  2. Invitation and Scheduling of Companies: Companies are invited and scheduled based on the following parameters:
    • Eligibility criteria and opportunities for all students.
    • Job profile and growth prospects.
    • Compensation package offered by the company.
    • Past recruitment record at AISSMS COE.
    • Feedback from students regarding the company.
  3. Collaborative Selection Process: If a company prefers a common selection process for our students and those from nearby engineering institutes, the selection drive is organized either by our institute or the other institute, following discussions with the Training and Placement Officers (TPO) of the participating institutes. Eligible students are notified about their participation in such placement drives through the TP office.
  4. Policy Revisions: If market conditions and job scenarios necessitate a revision in the placement policy, changes will be made to maximize benefits for the student community as a whole.

The CITP is committed to providing comprehensive support and resources to help students achieve their career goals.
