Department of Electronics Engineering organized 1 Days workshop on Industrial Automation and PLC Programming. An introduction to Automation Industry, Expectation from Fresh Automation Engineers, and Challenges & Opportunities in Industrial Automation & PLC Programming was the agenda of this workshop conducted on 15.03.2016 by Mr. Nilesh Dighe, Branch Manager and Mr. Ashok More, Automation Engineer at SOFCON INDIA Pvt. Ltd., Pune. This lecture proved worthy and introduced to students a new gateway for their careers in Automation Industries. 130 SE, TE and BE Electronics Students participated in this workshop. The Students who have participated got the basic knowledge of Industrial Automation and PLC Programming. They get motivated by interacting sessions. Students experience hands on session on PLC Programming.

Students experienced the team work values; they actually built the Robot and participated in Robo Competition, an event conducted by IEI Electronics Engineering Department under Engineering Today 2015.

Students’ Chapter (Electronics Engineering)
Department of Electronics Engineering runs Institution of Engineers students’ chapter in the department. It is the chapter for the students by the students.
IE (I) Students’ Chapter of Electronics Engineering (AISSMS College of Engineering), established in October 2006, organizes various Student centered activities throughout the year.
Students’ Chapter of IE (I) is formed for initiating and imbibing the feeling of belongingness into fraternity of engineering to which the students of engineering are destined. Students’ Chapter organizes technical events like Expert Lectures, Seminars, Technical Paper Presentation, Project Competitions, Group Discussions, Debates, Training Programs, Industrial Visits, Technical Demonstrations, Film shows, etc. for the development of socio-techno intellectual qualities of the students and for encouraging their urge and surge for knowledge in a disciplined and guided system.
